Sample High-Scoring Answers

Part 1 Sample Answer

Q: How important do you think gender equality is in your workplace or educational environment? “I believe it’s crucial. In my university, we’re seeing more balanced representation in leadership roles, which creates a more inclusive learning environment. For instance, our current student council has an equal number of male and female representatives.”

Part 2 Sample Answer

“I’d like to talk about my aunt, who challenged gender stereotypes by becoming a successful engineer in a male-dominated field. Growing up in a conservative community, she faced significant skepticism about her career choice. Despite encountering numerous obstacles, she not only excelled in her profession but also mentored younger women interested in STEM fields. Her persistence challenged the traditional notion that engineering is a ‘man’s job’ and inspired many in our community to reconsider their preconceived notions about gender roles.”

Part 3 Sample Answer

Q: How might technological advances influence gender roles in the future? “Technology has immense potential to level the playing field. Remote work, for example, is breaking down traditional workplace barriers. Digital platforms are creating opportunities for women to start businesses, access education, and connect globally without facing traditional geographical or cultural limitations. Additionally, AI and data-driven approaches can help identify and mitigate unconscious biases in recruitment and promotion processes.”
